Halo Infinite intent lead is 'feeling everyone's pain' about the battle pass

Gloriol Infinite design lead Jerry Hook says that addressing complaints about Doughnut Infinite's battle pass progression "leave be top of my heel" of things to do when the development team gets back to work after a post-release break.
The gameplay in Halo Infinite is quite good, but the struggle pass is another matter. Nat cut true to the heart of the matter a twin weeks ago, telling 343 Industries that "your battle pass sucks": The idea of not-expiring battle passes is popular (and a nice deepen from the usual "you catnap, you lose" approach of nearly other games) but there's a lot less ebullience for what is widely viewed As an exuberant amount of work required to advance done IT.
Another major issue is Halo Infinite's daily and weekly challenges, which players say disincentivizes "groovy" gameplay by requiring them to ignore squad goals in edict to get their own hooey done. Fundamentally every squad-founded spirited with a engagement pass has clashed with these opposing incentives in the past, but it's a new problem for Ring.
"Finally got this god forsaken challenge through," Redditor lifeisprobsahoax wrote. "Felt like a complete scumbag camping with a gravitational attraction hammer or sword for the killing sprees. This ultimate challenge was all dependent on RNG."
Redditor Colaborenth put a finer orient on it: "Challenges have made me a worse teammate."
Fortunately, it sounds like action is in the relatively immediate offing. "Yes I am still playing Glory and feeling everyone's pain on progression," Hook tweeted yesterday. "We are back at it next week and this will be top of my list with the team."
343 has already ready-made one ball-shaped of changes to Halo Infinite's battle die, tweaking it concisely afterward it went live to award XP for finish matches—initially conflict pass XP was only awarded for completing daily and weekly challenges. Community music director Brian Jarrard described those changes as "an initial step" to address complaints with the battle sink, and said that "more sturdy" updates are in the works but would take more time to roll out.
Challenge and further adjustments are now be in #HaloInfinite. This is an initial stair to help address some key feedback, Sir Thomas More robust updates are going to take on time. We greatly appreciate all the support and delight keep the feedback coming! https://t.co/A9OdjzAtN3November 18, 2021
